Offline Authorization

How Do I Authorize My Plugin Offline?

If the computer that you installed your plugin on does not have an Internet connection, you will need to perform an "offline authoriztaion." Follow these steps:

  1. Download your license file using the form below
  2. Transfer the license file to your "offline" computer using a USB key or other portable storage
  3. Copy the license file to the folders listed below
  4. Restart your DAW

Enter the email address and serial number of the license you wish to download.

Transfer The License File

Transfer your license file to your "offline" computer using a USB key or other portable device.

Save The License File

Save the license file to the following folders on your offline computer:

Mac OS X
  • /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
Windows
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTPlugins

Note: If you installed your plugin into a different set of folders, save the license file to those folders instead.

Restart Your DAW

After restarting your DAW, and with the license file in the correct folders, your plugin should be authorized. When you open the plugin editor, the authorization screen should no longer appear.
